Haw Creek Elementary School is nestled in a valley in East Asheville, surrounded by beautiful woods and an educational nature trail. Our school has approximately 400 students, grades kindergarten through five. Our dedicated staff continues to find creative and innovative ways to engage, encourage and nurture our children.
Haw Creek Elementary is a leader in technology and environmental education. We were the first elementary school in Buncombe County to receive a 3D printer and the only school which has an interactive STEAM nature trail open not only to our school but the public. Haw Creek is unique in the fact that we have great support and involvement from our parents and the greater community.
Haw Creek Elementary School's philosophy is to grow students who are respectful, responsible citizens, as well as life-long learners who can adapt to the ever-changing world of the 21st Century. We encourage optimum growth for each child, teacher, and staff member.
