Family members at Title I schools are encouraged to participate in our District Title I PAC (Parent Advisory Council) meetings. At these meetings we strive to:
involve families at both the district & school level with joint decision making opportunities & provide meaningful two-way communication
involve families of students in Title I programs in their child's education & school life
provide information that is relevant to the entire district (curriculum, data, policies, procedures, expectations)
inform families about our Title I programs, activities & funding
solicit input on the creation and revision of the Title I application/budget (CCIP - Comprehensive Consolidated Improvement Plan) in an effort to guide district level decisions
get input on Title I family surveys, school compacts, family engagement policies
provide opportunities for families to share their input on Title I programs & policies
strengthen the relationship between home, school and community from the district perspective
improve student achievement by promoting a shared mission through strong family & community relationships
