Buncombe County Schools is participating in the summer SunMeals program. Those under the age of 18 are eligible for free meals this summer.
In-Person Meal Service
Youth meal service will be available weekdays from June 12 – Aug. 14 at:
A.C. Reynolds High
Community High
Erwin High
Hominy Valley Elementary
Koontz Intermediate
North Windy Ridge Intermediate
Meal Times
Breakfast: Weekdays, 7:30 a.m. – 8:30 a.m.
Lunch: Weekdays, 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Youth participating in the meals program must eat on-site to comply with USDA and North Carolina Department of Public Instruction requirements.
“Rolling to Feed” Bus Schedule
The BCS “Rolling to Feed” Bus will serve lunch weekdays at the following locations:
10:00 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. at Hillcrest Apartments
11:15 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Pisgah View Apartments
12:30 p.m. – 1:15 p.m. at Livingston Apartments
Holiday Closure
All meal sites will be closed Friday, July 3 in observance of Independence Day.
SunMeals To Go
Additional sites will offer SunMeals To Go, with meal pickups available Mondays from June 22 – Aug. 10.

Each Monday from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at:
Barnardsville Elementary
Leicester Elementary
Pisgah Elementary
Those under 18 can receive:
Five breakfasts
Five lunches
Meals can be refrigerated or frozen.
