At Bell Elementary, we know that together is better! That's why our specialists team up to create arts-integrated units for our students so that we can enhance our learning across artistic modalities! In January, Bell students explored different aspects of Lunar New Year in all of their specialist classes. They conducted guided (gr 2-3) and independent (gr 4-5) research and read a great assortment of fiction and nonfiction books (K-1) in Library, in Art they created lanterns and snakes and drums and cityscapes with fireworks, they learned a Chinese folk song and performed scarf dances in Music, and they wrote each other kindness intention notes delivered inside red envelopes in Friends and Feelings! We loved seeing our students' enthusiasm and had so much fun learning alongside them!
