Note to Parents

 Note to Parents

It is my belief that we are working together as partners in the education of your child.  You will receive progress reports on your child's IEP goals from me every 9 weeks with his/her regular report card.  I welcome open lines of communication and encourage you to feel free to contact me any time you have questions, concerns, or wish to share in the success of your child as I plan to do the same.  Of course, you can always call me through the school, but email or DOJO messages are the most efficient way to get in contact with me.

Behavior Plan

My behavior plan for the class is as follows:
Each child has an stamp sheet in their binders.  The students receive a stamp at the end of each session with me.  We discuss how many total stamps he/she will need to earn.  We decide on a number together, and this number is written on the page so he/she has a visual cue of his/her goal.  When a student is off-task or misbehaves, the students will get a verbal or visual warning, (I call the visual a tally, it is a mark in a discreet place for only the student to see.)
1 tally    =  Warning
2 tallies  =  Warning
3 tallies  =  No sticker/stamp
4 tallies =   Phone call home or DOJO message
5 tallies =   Referral, lunch detention, phone call or DOJO message
Earning goal number of stickers = Visit to the PRIZE BOX!
